The craft

Made by hand.Controlled by standard.

A premium proofing basket is not created by weaving alone. Material selection, shaping, finishing and inspection all decide how consistent the final order will be.

Our manufacturing belief

Handmade character should remain visible. Quality variation should remain controlled.

Buyers do not need every natural fibre to look identical. They do need confidence that dimensions, usability, finishing and packaging will remain within the agreed standard.

This is why our process combines experienced handwork with reference samples, dimensional checks and pre-shipment inspection.

From selected cane to export carton

Six stages. A check at every stage.

The process is designed to reduce avoidable risk before the basket reaches your bakery, retail shelf or customer.

01

Select & grade

Rattan is sorted by diameter, flexibility, surface condition and colour before it enters production.

CheckpointMaterial consistency
02

Soften & prepare

The cane is conditioned and prepared so it can be shaped cleanly without excessive cracking or stress.

CheckpointMoisture and flexibility
03

Form & handweave

Skilled craftspeople build the basket strand by strand around controlled forms for repeatable proportions.

CheckpointShape and weave spacing
04

Trim & polish

Loose ends are trimmed and working surfaces are refined to reduce rough points and visible splinters.

CheckpointSurface finish
05

Measure & compare

Key dimensions are checked against the approved specification and reference sample before packing.

CheckpointSize tolerance
06

Inspect & pack

Finished baskets are checked for appearance, stability, cleanliness and order accuracy, then packed for export.

CheckpointFinal quality and quantity

The details buyers notice later

Finish quality influences complaints, returns and repeat orders.

A low quotation can hide skipped finishing or inspection. Those savings may only become visible after the baskets reach the bakery: rough fibres, unstable shapes, inconsistent sizing or damaged packaging.

  • Trimmed loose fibre ends
  • Checked rim stability
  • Compared dimensions
  • Cleaned before packing

What “handmade” should mean for a professional buyer

Natural variation, with commercial control.

01

A controlled handmade finish

Natural rattan is not plastic. Small differences in tone, fibre pattern and handwoven spacing can occur. Our job is to keep those differences within an approved commercial standard.

02

A golden sample before scale

For custom projects, the approved sample becomes the working reference for size, weave, liner, logo position and packaging details.

03

Inspection before packing

The best time to find a problem is before the product enters a carton. Surface, shape and order details are checked before final packing.

Evidence before shipment

Do not rely only on promises. Ask to see the order.

For wholesale and private-label projects, visual records help both sides confirm the product, packaging and shipment status before dispatch.
